UPS maintenance Cell was created to take care of UPS in the Departments, Centers and offices across the institute. CEC have state of art of facilities to take care of troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of UPS systems.
CEC also take preventive maintenance of UPS systems to reduce the failure rate of UPS.
UPS system Preventive Maintenance
During the Preventive maintenance of a UPS system, technicians inspect and service critical components to ensure its continued reliability. This includes checking and advising the departments to replace the defective batteries, cleaning air filters, and conducting performance tests. Regular servicing helps prevent downtime during power outages and extends the lifespan of the UPS system, ensuring it remains ready to provide seamless power backup when needed.

UPS system battery bank condition monitoring is under way in the department
UPS battery testing is performed by a qualified and trained technician available in CEC. The technician will use a battery tester to test the battery voltage and internal resistance and compare the results to the manufacturer’s specifications. It is important to test the batteries on a regular basis to ensure the reliability and safety of the UPS system
